The Spring 2011 Youth MTB Series has come to a close and we want to thank all the kids and parents for participating over the past few months. We had a blast and we hope you did too!
Follow the link for a compilation of results from all three races, and the overall top three finishers in the middle school and high school divisions: SYMTBS-Complete Event Results. Below are a few photos from Sunday’s race, provided by Natalia Llinas.
Keep checking the website for more photos (by Leanne Haskins) and updates on the FALL series. In the meantime, we will see you on the trails!
We would also like to thank our sponsors: Two Wheeler Dealer, Cape Fear SORBA Chapter, Halley White DDS, CB Surf Shop, BB&T, Brooklyn Pizza, Omega Sports and Sock Guy.
The final event of the Spring Youth Mountain Bike series is ON for today.
It’s going to be a little toasty out there, so be sure to wear the proper biking attire and bring a water bottle. Thanks to Coastal Beverage, we have a ton of water to keep everyone hydrated.
Looking forward to seeing all the kids and parents out there today. Dont forget we added a Father’s division in honor of today. So Dad’s grab your bikes and let’s see what you got!

We’ve split the high school divisions into novice and advanced, as well as, added a “Father’s only” division. Novice riders will only ride 6 miles, while the advanced riders will ride 12.
Feel free to call us or e-mail with any questions. 910-742-5399
We have received a few inquiries about what the course is for each division, so below is a trail guide that we hope will help out.
The green route is the 1.6 mile beginnner loop that the elementary participants ride around twice.
The blue route is the 3 mile loop the middle school participants ride twice.
The high schoolers ride the whole 6 mile loop (including the yellow route), twice. If we have a lot of interest the day of the event in running seperate novice and expert high school divisisons, we will do so. The novice division will ride the whole course once (6 miles).
Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions- firstname.lastname@example.org
Event #3 of the Spring Youth MTB Series will take place on Sunday, June 19. We moved it to a Sunday in hopes that more people will be able to participate b/c it wont interfere with soccer, baseball, lacrosse and etc. Also, in honor of Father Day, we’ve decided to add a special “Dad’s only” division! So all you Dad’s, get out there with your kids and start training!
Event #2 is ON today at Blue Clay Bike Park. Registration starts at 12pm, first racers go out at 1pm.
